Library Cards for Children
Children six and older may have a library card. Parents must accompany children under 14, and sign the card application. Profile students may apply for a card on their own.
Libraries take privacy very seriously, and this includes our youngest patrons. NH Statutes guarantee the confidentiality of Library records for card holders of any age. Therefore, a parent is financially responsible for their child's library items, but may not know the titles.
We do offer a family card. The family has one library card number, and everyone in the family can see what is checked out and when it is due. An adult who already has a library card may add their children (over age 6) to the card at any time.
Apply at the circulation desk, or start online. Online applications are good for two months. During that time, we ask that you come into the library so we can meet you.
